Carl Cleavenger has worked hard for 30 years to be known as the Ding Master, an expert at paintless dent repair for cars. He owns and operates “Ding Masters”. “I started with a bucket and bicycle 30 years ago at the beach detailing and waxing cars.” All work is done by hand using specialized tools, sculpting the metal back to its original shape without the need for paint, leaving the factory finish intact. It’s a skilled technique that helps extend the life of an automobile, maximizing its value. Carl was mobile for 18 years before opening the shop 12 years ago. A decision he made to better improve the quality of work. The lighting cannot be controlled in an off-site repair leaving room for flaws. What’s unique about Carl is he is willing to take on the jobs that the other guys say “can't be done” or will cost too much.

Ding Masters expertly repairs dings as small as a dime size to dents as large as the side of a truck bed. Damage from shopping carts, hail, golf balls, rocks, pinecones, etc. he’s repaired them all. Most work is done in a day at the fraction of the cost of a body shop. Price varies by job and the location of the dent.

Carl has expanded the business to be able to repair the minor dings to major body work. Ding Masters offers body work at a competitive rate working with insurance or without.

The bright red fire truck makes “Ding Masters” hard to miss. The fire truck has become a recognizable antique here in Ventura and a mascot for Ding Masters. It’s been used in parades, advertising, movies, parked on the side of the freeway or on market street to mark the location of the shop.
